full name: My full name is Audrey Elspeth Delaney. Elspeth was my grandmother’s name and Audrey was simply an old Hollywood name my mother always admired. She typically calls me Auds as a joke, insinuating I’m odd, but the most common nickname I have is Ellie.
age: Sixteen
profession: I just recently gained employment at the hospital’s snack and gift shop. It’s mostly a quiet counter job which enables me to finish homework in between customers.
species: Human
it’s just that…this is not a life i would have chosen for myself

hair: I am a brunette and my hair is considered long, reaching to just above my waist. It’s a deep mousy brown shade. I once tried to get highlights in it but they really didn’t show up very well.
eyes: My eyes are also brown though if I wanted to sound poetic, I suppose I could claim they are a rich caramel hue that darkens when I’m upset about something.
distingusing features: I have pierced ears, that's about it. I go back and forth over getting a tattoo...not that I think my parents would ever go for it anyway but maybe in the future if I can get past the whole pain factor involved.
playby: Nina Dobrev

history:
My life started out just like anyone else’s. I was born after ten hours of labor and my birth was highly celebrated by both sides of the family. From day one, I was a bit spoiled but also expected to take on certain responsibilities of my own even at a young age. I used to help with the dishes once I was toddling around, carrying plastic plates to the sink and dropping them in. My parents were overprotective but I didn’t really come to realize this until much later. During adolescence, we went on many trips together. I was only six years old when we visited Disney World for the first time and of course, we returned a few years later too. My dad worked in the labor union overseeing a local manufacturing plant. The job description itself always sounded a good bit boring to me but I don’t think I’ve ever heard him verbally complain. Long shifts and lots of overtime seemed the norm. Meanwhile, my mother worked from home as a seamstress. She can sew the most beautiful pieces of clothing you’ll ever see. She did teach me a few examples of the more intricate embroidering methods used but honestly, it’s never been of much interest in me. I think this disappoints her for she still brings up casual remarks about us making a quilt together or some other sort of project. I would so much rather be at cheerleading practice learning new moves. It’s the music I love the most, the feel of each beat as it practically vibrates the ground and echoes around you. Seeing the team work together is just amazing and we usually all get along well.
I met one of my best friends in fifth grade. She moved here from somewhere east and ever since, we’ve been glued at the hip. In school, I am a closet nerd. I know it sounds funny but I don’t like to brag about my straight A’s. It’s not because I am ashamed of them either, it’s just that I feel uncomfortable putting myself on this comparative pedestal. If my grades slip, then I feel inferior. Both my parents used to drill the importance of a good education into me and for many years, we had assigned hours solely spent studying the day’s lessons all over again. Thank goodness they’ve backed off some in that regard. I love my ‘rents but they can definitely become overbearing at times and I’ve admittedly snuck out several times in order to be with my friends after Mom and Dad told me I wasn’t allowed to go out on a school night. I’m sixteen now and I want some more freedom, especially when it comes to researching certain family history. You see, I have a cousin who is just six months younger than me. I’ve heard rumors that her father might be my dad but the one time I tried asking about this, I was strictly lectured and then grounded for two weeks. How that’s fair, I don’t know but I did learn to keep my mouth shut and merely handle it on my own instead. Before my grandma passed away, she used to talk in her sleep. Sometimes she would be awake enough that the words were coherent and other times, they seemed little more than random mumblings. Often, she accused my aunt of betraying her sister, my mom. I don’t know what to believe and I guess it doesn’t matter in the grand scheme of things but it’s still one of those things you just tend to wonder about. I think it would be cool to have a bona fide sister. Being an only child frequently got boring. Sure, I had whatever toys and clothes I wanted but when it came down to actually playing with another child, I was often left to my own devices.
That changed of course in fifth grade and then later on in high school, I met Alyssa. She is so pretty and her smile is contagious. What’s even better is that she is truly a nice person. I couldn’t imagine not having her to confide in. Better yet, we are all on the cheerleading squad together! I recently got my driver’s license and a job. I work mostly on the weekends although sometimes I pick up a couple hours through the week too. This doesn’t happen a lot due to our cheerleading schedule in addition to keeping up to par with schoolwork. A few days ago, I met Jason via Alyssa. I have to admit that I have quite the crush on him and quite frankly, am not exactly sure what to do about it. When I try to speak, I end up fumbling over whatever I’m saying and feeling like an idiot. I haven’t really dated anyone seriously. There were a couple of boys I’d gone out on dates with in the past but with parents breathing down my neck more often than not, nothing ever happened. They were nice but not…Jason nice.

Glancing up at the overcast skies, Audrey shrugged in familiar dismissal. It was another typical day here in Forks and she wasn’t about to let the weather bring her down. Offering a quick grin towards her two closest friends, the trio of girls soon headed inside the school just as the morning’s first warning bell sounded which signified ten minutes until the day officially began. “I’ll meet you guys at lunch. I’ve got to run down to the library real quick and print out that report I wrote up last night,” she told her companions, waving as she slipped inside the hustle of lingering students loitering in the hall. Keeping her footsteps purposefully quick and efficient, Audrey half sprinted her way along the corridors. She knew the computers took ages to properly load and with a fleeting glance at the clock confirming eight and a half minutes left until English started, she didn’t have much time to spare.
Arriving in a whirlwind of long hair and dazzling smile, the cheerleader scooted into a vacant seat and promptly turned on the ancient machine. “Come on, come on,” she chanted quietly, feeling ridiculous for the silly encouragement yet unable to refrain from uttering the words despite the knowledge they lacked any real influence. Just then, the screen came alive with a rather vibrant shade of blue, leaving her to sigh in frustration. A male voice sounding from directly behind her caused her to startle, twisting in her seat to peer at the boy with raised brow. Instantly, a flush settled across her cheeks as she struggled to remember exactly why she is sitting there. His face is so perfectly handsome and the look in his dark gaze so undeniably attractive. She is left staring, her mouth flexing as if in preparation to speak yet not a single syllable manages to squeak past the nervous lump ledged in the back of her neck. Embarrassed now that she’s made a fool out of herself, Audrey hastily clears her throat and shrugs in reply. “Just got to print this out real quick,” she tells him after he asked if she needed any help. Grateful when the needed icons magically appear a second later, she pretends that he isn’t looming so close albeit her increased pulse certainly serves as recognition. He remains lurking, watching patiently before pointing out the proper keys to press once the computer seemingly freezes on its own accord.
Five minutes later, the loud sound of the printer effectively drowned further conversation. Standing, she grabbed her backpack after shutting down the system. “So I’ll uh, see you later,” she states evenly, her eyes briefly searching his before glancing towards the paper now ready to take. “Thanks, by the way…for helping me,” she adds, snatching the typed story from the printer’s confines and heading straight to her first class. By the time she sunk into her designated seat, the final bell’s shrill tone was simultaneously heard but all she could think about was Jason. A soft smile curled the corners of her lips upward, her pencil unconsciously doodling abstract designs along the edge of her notebook. There was something about him that she couldn’t get out of her mind and it wasn’t just his fabulously good looks. His very presence exuded mystery and carefully guarded secrets that she couldn’t quite put her finger on. Nonetheless, when she briefly closes her eyes, it were his features she saw etched firmly within her thoughts.
