Mary Alice Brandon was born in Biloxi, Mississippi in 1901 to a middle-class Jeweler and his devoted homemaker wife. Even as a human girl, Alice would get visions, though due to her young age (and possibly her human nature) these visions were often wrong or cryptic. Try as she might to hold her tongue about what was 'wrong' with her, people eventually began to talk. After warning both a friend and cousin (and these prophecies becoming true) she was railed as the town witch, even so far as to being called a 'changeling', most likely due to her fae like qualities and appearance. This lead to a loneliness life, were the only person she was really close to was her mother. And of course, tragedy needed to once more mark Mary's life.
After receiving a terrifying vision of her mother's brutal murder (a warning only her mother heeded and her father blatantly ignored), Mrs. Brandon the First was killed. The death was deemed accidental, and Mr. Brandon insisted on silencing Mary and her proclamations of the truth. Six months passed and a blonde Northern woman swept into their lives; damning Mary yet adoring Cynthia. It was around this time Alice began fearing her mother's death had something to with her father, as all of the signs pointed towards a conspiracy. It was her accusations that sent Mr. Brandon into a frenzy, and the wheels of kismet turned another notch towards Alice's eventual destiny.
Another vision crossed Mary's Sight; this one of her new stepmother and her mother's killer plotting her own death. And while he was able to hide the first time from her precognition, this time her father's identity was revealed as the murderer. After fleeing her house and attempting to escape with nearby relatives, she was spurned and kicked out; the family still blaming her for the death of their own child. In a panic, Mary fled to local law enforcement. But her vision did not see her father's ultimate betrayal; when she arrived she was packed up and sent to a nearby insane asylum for 'her own safety since the poor girl went mad'.
Mary's head was shaved, for fear of typhoid. And after bouts of electroshock therapy, the poor girl became a complete tabula rasa. A blank slate, though cheerful and bright in her amnesia. It was a vampire inside the asylum who took pity on her, seeing the Alice as a daughter figure while training up her powers of precognition with various tests. It paid off in the end, when a tracker caught wind of her scent. James became obsessed with finding the girl who was his singer, and her kindhearted doctor took matters into his own hands. After biting Alice and whisking her away, The Good Doctor confront James; and it was his sacrifice that gave Alice the time she needed to Turn. Upon finding his prize 'spoiled', James left Alice to her fate (later on it is her and Bella Swan alone who escaped this particular tracker). And akin to the electroshock, the venom in her body wiped her slate clean once more whilst intensifying her visions. It was this moment she saw her Destiny; her life with the Cullen Coven and her soulmate Jasper Whitlock.
In 1948, Alice found herself in a diner in Philadelphia. It had taken her years, but her self-control was astounding, surprising considering she mastered it on her own. For the prophet, it was love at first sight, and an exceptionally giddy Alice had her feelings returned in kind quickly. Two years later the pair became members of the Cullen coven. Shortly after that, they married. Alice took to her adoptive family as if she had always belonged, connecting the most with Edward over their respective talents. Much like her siblings, Alice began the family's tradition of continually going through high school and college; earning multiple degrees in both Fashion Design and International Business and a smattering of Art Degrees (both fine and graphic).
It was during one of their high school jaunts in Forks, Washington that Edward became infatuated with a human girl. It tied in with a vision the vampiress had about becoming close with Bella Swan, and Alice immediately took it upon herself to befriend her. It took some time before Edward allowed Alice to finally meet Bella, and Alice wasted no time treating her as one of the Family. The pair indeed become close, though Bella seemed put off at first with Alice's methods. Time passes, and after a run in with a group of Nomads (lead by none other than James), things turn on their head. With decisions being made so quickly and things twisting and turning at a moment's notice, things became dangerous when James becomes infatuated with Bella. While the three Nomads eventually leave, it was obvious that he would not stop until Bella was dead. To protect Charlie, Alice and Jasper take Bella to phoenix and go into hiding as the others try and diffuse her scent throughout Forks and the nearby mountains. A vision of a ballet studio and Bella's mother's home clue the three into James and his altered plan, though when Alice sees Bella at the studio she decided to keep the information to herself for fear of what might happen. At the airport, while waiting for Edward, Bella escapes Alice and Jasper's care, and the married couple worries for the safety of their friend. A fight erupts at the ballet studio ending in a severely injured Bella needing medical attention from Carlisle and Alice while Edward sucked the venom from her veins. While she is tempted, Alice does not leave her side. Once everyone is safe and back in Forks (with James dead and burned), the group goes to prom. Bella of course, Alice's dress up doll.
When Bella's 18th Birthday arrives, Alice takes it upon herself to plan the entire party. But a paper cut ends the festivities, what with Jasper's control issues. After Edward pushes Bella into some glass (making the injuries worse and testing everyone's control), her brother made the decision for the family to up and leave Forks. While it destroyed her not to, Alice was forbidden to say goodbye to her best friend. Away for months, Alice began to dig into her human roots, piecing together clues from James and finding her own grave in Biloxi. Weary at the date listed for her death, as it matched her admission into the asylum. Some time went by before Alice received a vision of Bella leaping off a cliff, though her rescue at the hands of Jacob Black was shrouded due to his werewolf nature. Borrowing Carlisle's car, she speeds off to Forks, convinced her best friend and who she hoped to be sister had committed suicide. Seeing Bella alive was a shock, who she was keeping the company of even more. Content, after some well-placed threatening and filling her in on the Coven's comings and goings while they were away, to leave Bella in Jacob's care; Alice goes off to hunt. It was in the middle of her hunt however, that the biggest miscommunication in the history of the Cullens occurred. Packing Bella into a plane, the pair flew off to Volterra, Italy to stop a heartbroken Edward from committing suicide via Volturi. After stealing a Porsche (and making a mental note to beg her brother for one once everything was better), the pair barely arrive in time to stop Edward; yet the Volturi still drag them into the headquarters proper. It was Alice's insistence that convinced Aro that Bella's humanity was a fleeting thing. Once they safely returned to Forks, Alice was the first person to vote for Bella becoming a vampire, though she mentioned how she was uncertain she could turn her despite what she said to Aro in Italy.
Since Charlie actually likes Alice, she was allowed unlimited access to Bella during her punishment for running off to Italy. A short time later, Alice received a vision of Victoria coming back for revenge after the murder of her mate, James. Edward takes the opportunity to get Bella out of town, and the pair go to visit her mother. After the weekend trip, Alice is bribed by her brother to keep Bella and Jacob apart by any means necessary while he goes out on a hunting trip. Even though Bella does run off with Jacob, Alice gets to keep the Porsche; despite her reluctance Alice does understand the need for the Treaty with the werewolves. All the while, Victoria began to create an army of newborns; yet to avoid detection she insists Riley makes all the decisions. Bella figures out what's going on and tells Alice during graduation and at the after party, Alice receives a vision of not only the army's advance but their defense utilizing both Jasper's strategies and a partnership with the wolves. While in training it is Alice's precognitive skills that keep her safe, Jasper insists she stay out of the major actions of the fight out of fear of his wife being hurt; ending in the empath getting injured. When Alice received a vision of Bella and Edward getting married in Vegas, Alice confronts her best friend and after ending the threat of the newborn army Bella gives in to Alice's demands. As maid of honor, Alice began to plan the wedding with veto-power for the guest list in exchange for the date to be no later than August 13th.
For this Wedding of the Century, Alice helped with every detail; making her best friend and soon-to-be sister the definition of perfect. Since Edward wanted the honeymoon to be a secret, Alice packed her bags including a box of tampons that was never used due to Bella becoming pregnant with Renesmee. While pregnant, Alice cannot seem to get a read on the child, something that makes the whole family nervous. Each time she looked, she was blinded by migraines; relieved only when Jacob's pack takes up residence. (And later after Nessie was born) During the birth, it is Alice who holds Rosalie back, since her sister could not control her thirst. When the Uley Pack arrives, Alice jumps to the defense of her family; and nearly is mauled in the process.
For the vampire's 19th birthday, Alice gives Bella a cottage complete with a ridiculously sized closet. Months later, in the midst of all of the happiness, Alice received a vision of the Volturi coming after them all thanks to the betrayal of Irina. Her and Jasper leave the family, giving Bella alone a clue to J. Jenks on the off chance her and Jasper head out on a secret mission to save them all and come back later than anticipated. A mission no one can know about, for fear Aro would not accept what they needed to show him. As they searched for another child like Nessie, they send vampires back home to stand as witnesses and eventually they find Nahuel. Alice and Jasper barely arrive back in time as the Cullens and their witnesses face off against the Volturi. After sharing her vision with Aro, (a heart-rending battle that few would survive, including her beloved Jasper and Aro himself) the Volturi withdraw and the Family is safe for some time.
Some time passed before Alice was struck by another life-changing vision. Seeing a small child lost without any one in the world was enough to send the vampiress to her knees. Visions of Seattle, flashes of pain and blood mixed with smiles and laughter and the most beautiful golden haired young woman Alice had ever seen. Grabbing Jasper by the hand, she blurred them into the woods before they found the lost little baby. Scooping her up into her arms, Alice beamed up at Jasper while rocking the little girl she knew he would never hurt or hunger after. 'We've got you, Alyssa. Mommy and Daddy have you and you'll never be lost again.'

Everything was in it's place. That was the most important thing to the mildly Obsessive Compulsive Vampiress. It wasn't as though Alice was neurotic, save anything involving haute couture and her loved ones strange aversion to it. But in her heart of hearts, Alice loved when things flowed simply without any type of unnecessary hiccups. And today, was one of those days. As the sun crested over the horizon, Alice stretched lazy and long. Toes and fingers flexing and kneading, calves taut as she arched her back like a cat. Everything had a light ache to it, the faint soft glow of love tracing the edges of her vision.
The cold press of marble skin along her side brought a blissful smile on her lips, eyes falling shut as her hands fluttered down to rest along the tight band around her waist. Fingertips softly tracing over each curve and line of ancient scars, tender to the flesh others so mishandled. A rumbling chuckle from behind her had her smile spreading, her own bell-like laughter joining her mate's as the sunlight warmed her eyelids. The wind from the open window gently carded through the tousled mess of almost ink black tufts, spun wheat and honey of her beloved's longer hair teasing along her cheeks as it danced in the breeze.
The Egyptian cotton of their sheets was cool against her skin as golden eyes fluttered open. The sunbeams set their room to glow, each mote of dust twisting and dancing in the air; the world their own private snow globe of daylight and flowing curtains. While she hesitated to admit it, a secret part of her really loved the days the sun peeked out from the constant gloom they lived in. She understood the necessity of their dreary lifestyle but that didn't change the fact that she missed lazy days in the sun, let alone the exotic and populated locales she could never see. All of the fashion capitals had cloud cover at some point, but it would be maddening waiting in the city until nightfall or the first rain.
But it seemed today would be a bright day, the scent of sunshine and warmth dancing in her nose. While it wasn't sleep that had her limbs leaden, Alice enjoyed the lazy reprieve. Her and Jasper had spent the majority of their night alone taking full advantage of the lack of supernaturally perceptive family members. And while her husband was never truly appeased, the moment had moved from passionate seduction to devoted affection. As much as she didn't want to stir from such a perfect dream, Alice had to acknowledge the press of time.
Turning her head to face her Forever, Alice wrinkled her nose up playfully. Her voice was whisper soft, a calm mezzo soprano laced with undying love. "Morning, Soldier Boy… Time to get up…" Content with her stretch, Alice relaxed into his arms before reaching out to press a delicate kiss to Jasper's chin before running her nose along his jawline lightly. Right where we should be… In an little bit, Alyssa would be back along with the rest of the Cullen Clan. But until then, for a few more precious moments; they could indulge the Dawn.
