No one really knows when Alyssa Marie Hale was born. Her parents Alice and Jasper were hunting in the woods one day and found her in the Forks Forest as a baby crying in the rain. Jasper didn’t have any thirst problems while being around her, which they both thought was odd. They took her in as their daughter. They made the day they found her birthday, which was September fourth.
Alyssa was always incredible smart. She learned how to walk and talk way before the normal age for human children. At the age of two she was already very bright. She was never put into school as her grandmother homeschooled her. She loved learning new things no matter what it was. By the age of ten she already knew English and French and was working on Spanish.
At the age of fifteen Alyssa finally went to regular school and was enrolled as a sophomore. She was also brutally raped then by some man in Seattle. She had been by herself at the time shopping for some clothes and was walking around Seattle at night time. Something her parents always told her not to do. She ended up pregnant, which she didn’t want. She wanted to have an abortion, but when it came time to it she couldn’t go through with it. Then she decided that she would give the baby up for adoption. Five months after she found out she was going to have a boy. By then she had grown to love the baby growing inside her. She told her family that she decided to keep the baby after all. She knew her mother was going to be happy since she knew her mother would want to help and wouldn’t harm her baby at all. A month later Alyssa was home alone and she decided to go for a walk through the woods. It wasn’t night out so she figured it would be okay. That was when her whole world came crashing down.
Alyssa had just turned sixteen. A vampire attacked Alyssa on October 14th and after draining a large amount of her blood left her there thinking she was dead. Her family made it there and tried to keep her from turning. Sadly though her baby died but Alyssa was seconds away from becoming a vampire and her grandfather kept her from being turned. Alyssa hasn’t gotten over the loss of her baby, and still is depressed, but she goes on. She distanced herself from other people. Her family is worried about her as she hasn't gotten over losing her baby.

Alyssa Mare Hale sighed as she paced back and forth in her room. She couldn’t sleep of course, no one in her house could. Vampires didn’t sleep. Her red eyes scanned her room for something to cure her boredness. Ethan, her boy friend who also happened to be a werewolf, was currently asleep at this time. She hated this about being a vampire, actually she hated the blood lust as well but she was controlling it. Ever since she stopped trying to move to a more animal diet and started drinking human donated blood she hadn’t killed a single person. She had been doing much better at school and able to stay there the entire day and she was thinking of getting a job. Yes a job.
Alyssa had never really told anyone this but she wanted so badly to learn to become a doctor like her grandfather. She wanted to help people and she knew everything that doctors today knew. That was the good thing about not sleeping lots of reading time. Alyssa loved learning new things so she read a lot. Her grandfather and Uncle Edward always had nice books for her to read and she found them very interesting. Thanks to her wonderful grandfather she got through this whole vampire thing and also learned French. It was always the small things they did for her that made her smile and love them even more.
No one had even talked about her losing Nathenial over a year ago. It was still a raw nerve to her when his name was mentioned or she walked by the nursery room she had made for him. She still hadn’t had the courage she give everything away. It wasn’t like she would be needing anything in that room any time soon. She couldn’t help it she had fallen in love with her beautiful baby boy and he was just taken away from her. She still hadn’t told Ethan she was almost a mother. She never wanted to lose anyone ever again and that fear actually paralyzed her. It really paralyzed her.
She sighed as she left her room and went down to the kitchen. She had bottles and blood baggies of human donated blood there since no humans ever came into their house and dig through the fridge. She opened the fridge and sipped. The blood ran down her throat and she sighed as it helped her calm down a bit. She sighed as she knew why she really wanted something to do. She was sort of putting off doing her homework for the next school day. Yes she had all night. Literally. She just didn’t want to do it right now and she didn’t know why.
