Getting mad or upset about Alec would not change things. Perhaps it was just that she was different from her family. It was one of the things she related to the most was when people underestimated waht she could in fact do. “Travelling is one of the greatest things in the world. To see new things—to interact with people that you wouldn’t have met otherwise. Your sister?” She asked, she knew his sister was Jane. After all her parents had warned her about the Volturi and the ones they had dealt with in the past. Alec and Jane were two such individuals that she had been given some information on.
She shrugged her shoulders. “Well it wouldn’t be the first time I’ve run into people that aren’t exactly nice. There’s two ways of going about it though, there’s mean, and then there’s nasty.” Nasty is what she had expected when she had heard about the Volturi.
“I don’t cause trouble....unless I’m given a reason to. I’m not afraid of facing your master.” She did not stutter as she said it because she knew it was the truth. “Imprinting...people have different views on it I suppose. Some don’t understand the truth behind it—because you can’t choose who it happens to or on whom.” She ignored his comment about assuming things.
She listened as he explained exactly why he envied her. “Yes well, that’s what families do. You know, you look out for eachother even if sometimes you wish they’d just leave you alone. Reprimanded, that comes with the territory—I know how that is. And no, believe me if I was testing you—you’d know it. I do not need protected.” And with that Alec extanded his hand as if to try and shake hers, and hesitantly she took it. She also knew that if he had wanted to use his power on her, that he would not necessarily need to touch her. Because from what she had learned he could do that just by sending the ability in the general area of where his intended victim would be at.

Alec knew that he was testing Renesmee to see if he could get her mad. He was failing miserably so he thought there were only two things he could do. The things were either leave Forks and go back to Italy and tell Master Aro that at least one person from Olympic Coven was back. The other thing was extend his hand to Renesmee and offer to be her friend. Alec said” I agree with the issue of travelling being a great thing to do. You get to see different places. I am sure you have heard of my sister Jane. “” She has got to know about Jane. After all Renesmee’s Coven would have had to tell her who to look after for and why.”Alec just had to chuckle at how Renesmee’s attitude was about this situation. He had to say he was very much surprised. Alec said” I can believe that because this world would be a perfect place to live in and that is never going to happen. Everything will always have people have different views on them. That is just how it is. I would not know about choosing someone over another person. I have always had my sister and Master Aro to be beside me. How does it feel to have someone like that for you? “ Alec saw that his comment about assuming things go unanswered and he saw that as a sign of disrespect.
Alec said” whatever you do not do anything to ruin what you have. You never know when something can happen to you and you will see how much you needed someone to be with you. I have been reprimanded a few times but i have learned from the mistake and i t ried not to do it again. I believe you when you say you do not need protected. I have been testing you and you have surprised me on how you have been acting on stuff.” Alec started to think” Oh i see that she is trusting me enough to accept my handshake offer. I think that must have took a lot of thing inside her to do that."

Time was all that the young woman needed to know that she was on the right path. Getting angry wouldn’t solve a thing and yet she was being tested by the one being she knew she ought not to have trusted. Sighing softly she listened to him saying that he agreed with travelling. “I’ve always been the one who can’t stand to be in one place for too long. I think I’ve travelled all over the United States in the last few years.” She smirked as she said it as she had escaped from her family before and granted it was not a wise thing to do but she had enjoyed her time away ever so much.
“Jane...yes, I’ve heard of her, granted I also know that her gift is just as dangerous as anyone’s, when used against someone else deliberately.” The Olympic coven had told her plenty of what the Volturi could do and what to watch out for, however her family failed to take into account that she was not going to avoid them should she run into them like in this situation with Alec. “Perfection isn’t what we’re after. Of course people are going to have different views on any topic known to man. That’s just human nature. Whether you like it or not. I’ve never had to choose either. I’ve always known what my path was—even if it was a little different than most.”
She watched him carefully when he said not to ruin what she had. “You’re right. But if you worry about such things and live your life in fear then you’re not really living at all and I prefer to live in the moment. Besides mistakes happen. It’s also apart of human nature. Reprimanding won’t change that. Testing me? Well you’re not the first who has tried to do so.”
Trusting was a precious commodity but it didn’t take much for her to extend her hand in this situation better to do it than to piss the man off and have him do act out of stupidity or of ignorance. At least that was what she had always known to be true.

Alec had been thinking “ it had been a long enough time for the Cullen’s to forgive but not quite forget what happened all those years ago. Surely they have not held onto that grudge for all that time.” Alec looked at Renesmee and saw a girl that was quite different from her parents. She was the exception. She had plenty of reasons to be like them but yet she was different. He was glad that he did not act on his first decision and used his power on her. Afterall she had proved to not be like the rest of her coven. Alec replied to her statement” Staying in one place for so long can be a bad thing. People around that place can be suspicious on why you don’t age and that can cause trouble. So what is your opinion on the other places you have visited? “ Alec surely would try to get her to come to Italy to if nothing else to experience the grand scenery it had. Alec grinned when Renesmee had commented on his sister. Alec said” Yeah I do not know whose is more powerful mine or my sister’s I can affect a group of people where as she can only affect a single person.” He did not know if it was wise to have said that but it was too late now. Alec liked how Renesmee spoke about various things that were brought up. She seemed to be well educated in various things. If they were not supposed to be enemies he would want to try and be friends with her. As much as he thought about it the more he knew that might be a bad choice to make. Alec said “When I brought up the perfection thing I was not saying it was what you were wanting. I was just speaking in general of course. The phrase Human nature is a strange one because it makes it sound like it is just for humans where as it is for everyone. I guess we all were humans at one time or another. I am glad to hear that your choices were not made for you and that you made them your own self. The time I have spent here talking to you has made me think about things.”[/b]
Alec stopped and thought before he continued to speak” I should watch what I say and how I say it. So it will not be misconstrued.”Alec spoke up again”I see what you are trying to see but when you are with someone that is powerful and has a stern fist You got to stop and think before you speak. I guess we come from different ways of thinking. I want to be your friend. How about it Renesmee?”

She could hold a grudge, if she wanted to but she didn’t see the point in it. She knew what Alec and the others had done, and had attempted to do, but they were trying to prove their point just like her family had proven theirs. She was a sweet girl, and had faith in what she was seeing. In what she was doing....even if it went against everything she’d been taught. At this point, she was breaking the rules her parents had set down. Of course, they had no idea that a member of the Volturi had arrived in their quaint little hometown. Of course time had made things different than she would have seen coming, as she was oppinionated and wasn’t about to just allow her parents to make decisions for her. No, she wanted to make them for herself. She smiled innocently as he began to speak.
“Well yes obviously there are reasons for people to move. As far as for myself I never stay in one place too long, I prefer to travel. I’ve travelled even to different countries. The most recent to Mexico and Canada. Both places I’ve visited there, were beautiful, and I enjoyed every bit of it. I’ve not travelled too far from that. Though I’d love to travel more once I get a bit older.” She explained as she was old enough to do what she wanted but that wouldn’t stop her mother and father from trying to keep her from doing so. Not with the Volturi’s reach being what it was. If she so much as did the wrong thing or exposing what she was, what their world was about, she was as good as dead as was her family. And she knew it. There was no denying that fact.
“Well you have your gifts for a reason. Doesn’t matter which one is more powerful, as both can be considered deadly especially with someone who doesn’t know how to fight it.” That was the truth. She remembered her dad explaining what Jane’s gift could do and how it could easily take a life, where as Alec’s could be used to make someone defenseless, easy pray for someone like Jane.
“No, of course I know you meant people in general. It is strange, of course, but it’s nevertheless the truth. Even if you don’t want to admit it. It fits in with everyone, no matter where they are, where they come from, or what they are. Think about what things exactly?” She couldn’t help but to question it, knowing full well that might get her into trouble. Sighing softly she watched the man in front of her. If he wanted her dead he could easily find a way to do that. She couldn’t even imagine what her parents let alone her aunts, uncles and grandparents would say about this little meeting.
“I’m different, I suppose. I say what I think and what I feel without a second thought. It’s just who I am. Anyone who knows me, knows this. You want to be my friend? Sure..I suppose we could be friends.” She knew she was treading on a path that her family would not approve of but she was going to take it one step at a time. If she let her fears stop her, she would have no life at all. But she wasn’t going to risk her family’s lives or that of the Pack simply over a choice like this. She would protect them all no matter what. Even if it cost her everything...including her own life.

Alec was one that he could hold a grudge and it would not be a good thing for that specific person because it would lead to him using his power. It would be a factor when it came to the Cullen’s but he had nothing to hold a grudge against them. If anything came up it might be the issue of after a hundred years they could not forgive and forget about that one day. That is what made this meeting with Renesmee all the more interesting. She was a part of that coven but yet she was acting different than all of the rest of them. Alec knew if Master Aro knew of how he was confronting Renesmee that Aro would reprimand him sternly. Alec was thinking that Renesmee was doing things for herself when it came to talking to Alec.
Alec replied to Renesmee with” Yeah of course there are different reasons to do things like moving. That is good to hear that you have been several different places. How was Mexico and Canada? I bet there weather temperatures were like night and day in comparison to each other. You seem to be old enough to travel to many different places by yourself. Or is it that you guys are being careful to where you go by yourself. I bet you have an interesting power just like your mother. I am interested what can you do? “ Alec pondered how to respond to the comment about Jane and his powers and which is more powerful. Alec liked to see how smart this girl was. Alec replied” Yeah we all have our opinion on how powerful our own power is.”
Alec looked at Renesmee as she spoke about what he had said about people in general. Alec said” Maybe we need to make ourselves more clear next time. You seem to know a lot about things in general. I see that your parents have taught you well.Yeah I would say that you are different but in a good way.Yeah I would like to be your friend. I know this will be a awkward friendship but I am sure we can make it work somehow.”

Everything her mother and father—the entire family had taught her about the Volturi—about Alec and Jane was accurate. She could see it. Although she didn’t feel that he would use his gift on her, because she had not given him a reason to. She didn’t hold a grudge despite the fact that Alec and Jane had both been there the day that the Volturi planned to kill her. But they had left without a violent hand, and so that was why she was willing to forgive them, despite feeling like they should get what was coming to them. She wasn’t afraid. She knew the risks that were involved with talking to Alec. And knew that she would probably be yelled at for doing so but she didn’t care. He was no threat to her.
“It was beautiful there, both in Mexico and Canada, but you’re right their temperatures are as different as fire and water, and both were different from here in Forks too. I am old enough to travel to where I want to go...when I want to go without a second thought. Being careful isn’t necessarily a bad thing, does come in handy given what it is that we are. My gift if you will, I don’t call it all that interesting really. Not compared to yours.” She answered not exactly giving away what it was that her power was so that Aro and the others wouldn’t directly know either. “That is true. But no one’s oppinion matters more than your own when it comes to that sort of thing.”
Yes of course it was going to be a different type of situation but she didn’t want to risk something happening to her parents or the others simply for making a mistake. “Perhaps so. And yes, they have. But they’re not the only ones, most of it is common sense really. Awkward? Yes, especially considering the fact that you and my family don’t exactly see eye to eye on anything at all given who you’re bound to.” Bound meaning only that he was a Volturi guard, and she came from a family that was so much safer—so much easier to deal with. Plus she didn’t hurt people the way that the Volturi did. She gave him a smile as she was watching him just like she would anyone else that she was in a conversation with. Although she was not staring, but glancing at him periodically.

Alec listened to Renesmee about the places that she had been to. Alec began to think” The only places I have been to is Italy and Washington. She has been to mor e places than I have.”Alec said” Well i have only been to Italy and Washington. So you have me beat.So tell me how has it been growing up with parents that actually care about you. I only know of experiences with Master Aro . I think of him as my father but it is not the same thing. How old are you? I know you look older than me and i bet that is why it is easier for you to travel more than me. I am stuck looking this age forever. It is one thing i hate about being a vampire. I wish it came at a older age. If your gift is not interesting why has Master Aro been after you? He only collects vampires with unique powers.”
He had to chuckle because he did not consider himself to have a unique power. Alec said” My power only numbs the senses. There is nothing interesting about that but I do love being a guard for the Volturi and being by master Aro’s side. It is good to be taught well but I think it is how you apply what you learn that is important. That is true that both sides have different views about a lot of things but that does not mean that some views can not be seen the same way.”

She smiled as she looked at him. Why she was smiling, she wasn’t sure. Maybe she was just trying to be nice, but hoping it wouldn’t backfire. “Oh wow. Didn’t think I’d beat anyone in travelling. Not that it’s a competition, although if you asked anyone else they might think so. It’s good—having parents that actually care although sometimes it’s smothering.” It was the truth but oh well. “That’s one thing I won’t answer. You never ask a lady how old she is, that’s just rude!” She answered automatically. He wasn’t the first to ask how old she was but she didn’t like admitting her age. No matter if it was around vampires, shifters or humans.
“I don’t know, why Aro is after it, but he is. That won’t change. And it’s one thing he’ll never get either.” She sighed. “Numbing the senses, that’s dangerous enough as it is. To not be able to use them, in battle can leave someone quite defenseless. It’d be like sending someone to be slaughtered because they would have no real way of defending themselves.” She replied honestly while looking at Alec. Why was Alec being so civil? From what she had heard about him, he could paralyze anyone, by removing one’s senses and without that, they were as good as dead anyway. The Volturi didn’t care about human life and certainly hadn’t cared about someone like her, who was a half blood by all intents and purposes. She was part human after all.
“I can’t speak for anyone else but I understand that rules are meant to be followed—that doesn’t mean however that there won’t be some mistakes along the way. But the way I see it and how others see it, is completely different. Others view it, as a lack of respect, and that to pay the price for it, means the end of one’s life. I’ve always been the type of person to be willling to give second chances, should they be deserved.” She knew that her mother and the others within her family would not have approved of her talking to Alec. Or anyone else from the Volturi but she was independant, perhaps a bit more willing to hear them out than her family members would be but that’s because of how she was raised. How her life had taken it’s own effect.
She knew what her mother and father would say for her to be talking to Alec Volturi, especially in a civilized manner, given the fact Alec was part of the group that was willing to allow her to die simply because she was the daughter of vampires. They had thought she was an immortal child, and she had to prove that she was, however, not immortal. But a real flesh and blood child, that was born, not bitten. She knew she would be reprimanded by her parents and while she was certainly capable of making her own choices, she knew they would disapprove even if her grandfather Carlisle had always told her to be civil in cases like these. It was becuase of this, because of how she was raised, why she was being so civil now.

Alec said" Unfortunately that is not always a good thing.Times that is not spent a lot in one place for a long period of time can be tedious. You just skip all overcreation not understanding the good things and bad things that the place has to offer.Everything is a competition to me and everything has to go my way. You are not a lady you are a girl. I consider ladies to be somewhere around adults."He smirked a little about his nd her comments about age.
Alec let her speak and then said" Knowing my Master like i do it must be somewhat important because he does not do anything for nothing. He will never quit pursuing the things he wants to acquire. He has his ways of getting what he wants my dear.Oh so you have been told of my power? I love it when I see someone with a gaze of nothingness on heir face when i have numbed their senses. It makes them vulnerable for my sister to make them believe they are in pain. What exactly can you do that master Aro wants to acquire??"
Alec liked to listen to her voice and he did not know why that was. He smiled as she spoke and then he spokE.He said " Yeah rules are set in place but they are only there so that we can have fun incase they are broken. Having our fun is so much fun especially for me.I agree that people view things differently but the only way that counts is my way unless Master Aro says something then it is his way.Punishment is always deserved there should never be second cha nces given."

Taking a breath she looked at Alec. “I like to travel, it keeps me busy and it allows me to see things that others don’t. I have taken the time in each place to really look at it, to see the surroundings and the people...the culture in each place I’ve vistited. I don’t need competitions, although in my family we have alot of them. And how would you know that I’m not a lady because you don’t know my age.” She told Alec, sternly. She had rolled her eyes at his comment that she was just a girl. She wasn’t just a girl. Being a half vampire she was willing to take into account that things were different. She had walked down the same path as her mother, and that of her father. She liked to hunt—to drink blood but also could consume human food which also allowed her to fit in more than her aunts and uncles, as well as her parents. The family was tightknit which was why she was extremely careful and protective of them even if she was the youngest. She knew about Aro Volturi.
Her father, Edward, and grandfather Carlisle had told her more than the average person ought to know about someone like Aro. The more she learned about him the less she liked him. “I know who Aro is, I also know that he is willing to collect certain gifts no matter the cost, and will never stop until the person is dead. And yes, your power, I’d heard from others who specificlally made me aware of what it is that you and your sister can do, Alec.I also know that you’re apart of the coven, valued members for what it is that you can do. I’m sure you do love it, but for those who are your victims, well, I can say I do not envy them. My gift is nothing of importance although I know Aro thinks it is. It’s a bit complicated to explain. Needless to say, I don’t like to use it unless I have to.” She did not like to specifiy certain things unless she trusted the individual and right now she did not trust Alec.
“I’m glad I wasn’t raised like that. To not give second chances, that’s cruel. People make mistakes. That’s what makes us human. Although in your case there’s no humanity there....of what there used to be. If you had seen it from the eyes of others, you’d see that your power, your ability to have fun as you say is more cruel than necesary. Just as your sister’s. Though I hope I never have to deal with that. After all, I don’t play by the rules, never have. I’m not like most people, obviously.” She said as she didn’t play by the rules. Yes she respected certain things, but only those who actually deserved it, and the Volturi and it’s coven were not worthy of such emotion. After all they had wanted her dead for no reason, other than to think that she was an immortal child. It was a mistake that she would not forget. Her parents had warned her not to get too close to the enemy, and she wasn’t. Yes she was remaining civil but that was mostly due to Carlisle’s teaching.

Alec took a breath , looked at Nessie and then spoke saying"Traveling is good and it broadens your horizen about what is new out there. It is a time to stop and think about how those places became the way they were. Oh what type of competitions and between who?I know i dont know your age but i am judging how you look and determining it that way my dear. You do not have to be a certain age to be considered a lady or a man. I have never asked you your age have I. It would not be right of me to do so either. Why do you like to consume human food. Itwould just seem wrong for a person that is a vampirewrong even if that person was half vampire.Does it seem to make you feel a bit of humanity consuming it? Why would that be a bad thing to want to have gifted people around you? Just makes the ability to maintain the laws better and to make sure they are not broken."
Alec could feel his anger start to elevate and was trying to stay calm." Yeah we can bring people to their knees with just the thought of pain. It is a joyous thing to see. Yes I love the power I have. Who would not love their power that they maintain?Yeah the people that are on the receiving end of the powers can be quite the painstaking way.I would like to hear it. How you explained that you think it is not important has made me curious. You know mine but I do n ot know yours. I do not see how that is fair. Would you think the same way if you were me and I did that?I had no choice to feel that way. It is the villagers fault what they suffered and for how i am . My b ehavior is because how i was tereated.I did not have a choice to see how it would be like to have a choice.I am not human so that does n ot apply to me now does it? Do not mke me mad and you will not have to experience it now would you.

She took a deep breath as she looked at Alec, really watching him. She knew that Alec was dangerous at least in th way that others would expect. After all, things were different. She was in the presence of someone who was dangerous and who had the capability to really kill her should he want to. Now the Volturi had been decent towards the family but that was as far as it went. She knew better than most, that the way things were could be considered deadly. “Yes it does. Competitions about anything, but that’s because of who my family members are.” She grinned as she looked at him. “Well, human food, I have to be able to fit in somehow. My family and I both agree that it’s the safest measure. My mother and father both taught me the difference over the years. It’s not so terrible to consume the kind of food humans do, though I prefer blood myself. But unfortunately, it doesn’t always sustain me. That’s why I eat the human’s food, even though I am half human. As far as the gifted....people....it’s not the same thing. It’s one thing to have gifted people around who want to be there. It’s another to try and force it to happen. I’m not trying to anger you, but it’s the honest truth.” She said as she wanted to roll her eyes but stopped herself. She took a deep breath as she looked at him.
She could tell that he was getting angry and that was a dangerous combination. “Yes, I know. You can bring people to their knees with your power and I’m sure it’s quite satisfying. As far as I’m concerned, perhaps it’s just because I am half human why I don’t see my gift if you will, being that of importance. My gift—if you will is a bit more complicated because it’s not a traditional gift. Not in the way yours is. It may not be fair but that’s how life is. Nothing is fair. Don’t put words in my mouth Alec. What happened with you and your sister....noone deserved that. My life—has always been full of choices. Even when I was little. What you and your sister were put through, I understand that the actions of those villagers made you what you were....and how you treat others. That much I do understand. However, I understand that you’re not human—if you were you would be able to see things from my point of view, not just your own. That’s all I’m trying to say.” She said as she looked around, keeping her tone soft so that she would not be heard by the others. Of the humans that could be nearby. "But what I will tell you is that there's nothing that Aro can do to persuade me, or my family members to turn our backs on our family...to join him. Gifted or not....it's....something we cannot do. We've maintained a truce between ourselves and the wolves and we know that it's something you don't honor, given well you don't like the wolves. This much I have been taught since I can remember."
