----------------------------- ----------------------------- School was beyond boring today. She hadn’t gotten much sleep the night before because of all the school work so she slept through most of her classes. Of course her family wasn’t all too happy as she did have some classes with them. Of course her mother probably saw it and her Uncle Edward read her mind and other student’s mind that had been in her class. So she knew she was going to have to have a talk with her parents about that. She so wasn’t looking forward to that but she was glad that she wasn’t riding home with them. That would be awkward. So she would wait a little after school to go home, maybe hang around with her two best friends or see Jason before facing the music so to speak.
Of course all day long all Alyssa heard about was the party. It wasn’t going on much before lunch but after it was all anyone could talk about. Since moving back here Alyssa had never went to a single party. She didn’t want to have to ask her parents for permission or anything happening that might potentially hurt her family. She was always careful about making sure none of her friends ever came over to her house. Only Jason and his family could because well they were like her family, they knew her families secret. Her best friends didn’t even know it and they both thought that Alyssa told them everything and vice versa. Alyssa felt bad for constantly lying to them but what was she going to do. Go oh yeah guys guess what I am human but my family is full of vampires but they don’t drink human blood so everything is cool. No way.
By the end of the day Alyssa was already ready to go home. It was the weekend after all but she was so not ready to go home to her parents but she had to. There was game later tonight that she had to attend and the game was after. She had to of course go home and get ready. She drove home and parked her car in the usual spot. She fixed herself something to eat since only her and Katniss ate there all the time. Alyssa ate sometimes. She fixed enough for all three of them and she knew if Alyssa didn’t eat then it could be saved for later.
After she ate she went upstairs and took a shower. She got out and wrapped a towel around her. She dried her hair and took her time getting ready. She knew they were already there, waiting. She just kind of hoped they wouldn’t want to discuss the whole sleeping through classes. She straightened her hair then put it up. She fixed her makeup then got dressed in her cheerleading outfit. Alyssa was head cheerleader and she couldn’t wait till they went to competition this year. They were going to kick some ass of course. She knew some hate it that the new girl got the captain spot but she was just that good. Finally when she was ready she left the bathroom and walked downstairs. She looked around when she got downstairs wondering if anyone was around now. Anyone home

The school day was anything but unusual. In fact it had gone perfectly smooth since her arrival that morning. There was nothing to worry about. Of course, sometimes she had disappered for an hour or so when the time prevailed so she could hunt. But that was a rarity, as she could eat human food although sometimes the food just didn’t appeal to her. Today was one of those days. Most times when she had to feed she’d wait until her scheduled lunch hour but sometimes even that was unavoidable. She knew that Alyssa had a tendancy to sleep during class which often got her into trouble. She could have gotten in trouble too, if it wasn’t for the fact she was able to get too and from class when she had to go and hunt during their lunch hour—in a relatively quick manner. No one seemed to notice when things like that occurred, though honestly everything happened the way it did for a reason. She didn’t have to hide anything from her dad, as she told him almost everything. Except when the discussions turned to Jacob in which case she avoided talking about him as she knew how her dad felt about him.
Although there was one thing about looking like a teenager that she absolutely loved and that was being invited to parties, hell her aunt Alice threw the best ones. She knew she would have had to ask her mom and dad if she wanted to go to a party but for the most part she would rather spend her time with Jacob than to deal with the trivial parties that were thrown throughout the year.
Of course there was also the fact that well as a half vampire, there was a risk. Because even human blood could appeal to her, just as much as it could appeal to her mother and the others. It took quite a restraint not to react to it, when incidents came up. She showed as much restraint as her grandfather, Carlisle, had. Mostly because she didn’t want to risk hurting her family and having them be exposed for what they were, as it would destroy everything they had ever worked for. Maintaining a normal life, and exposing themselves would surely bring the Volturi back here. She had human friends too, but for the most part she stayed close to her family members. It was easier that way, and less risky. But even she had friends whom did not know her secret, or her family’s....a secret that was just as dangerous as she could be.
But it wasn’t like she could tell them what she was, or what her family was. During the school week she couldn’t wait to be home, to spend time with the family without having a set schedule. But when the weekends hit, she wanted to be like any other teenager and to go out and have fun.
She didn’t think it was that bad of an idea really, but she knew how her mom and dad felt. Once the last bell rang, she had grabbed her bag, and waited until the parking lot had emptied some before taking off at a run. She preferred to run, not only because it was fun but because it also saved on gas. Of course she ran at a human pace until she was safely in an area where she could run at her full speed. And speed was important in her life, due to safety concerns and that it also came in handy if she was running behind schedule. She didn’t have any specific plans really for this weekend.
Except to go catch up with Jake at the reservation. She often spent a lot of time with him because well he made her laugh and he understood her in a way that the others didn’t. She knew there was a game later tonight but she didn’t know if she was going to go. After all she didn’t have to if she didn’t want to. Normally she went to support her cousin Alyssa who was a cheerleader.
Once she had gotten home to the cabin she smiled. No one else seemed to be around, but she went and got herself cleaned up...just to be on the safe side. Just in case she happened to have plans later. Plus she didn’t want to stink before going to see Jacob if he was home. Although she knew that he was spending a lot more time with the Pack which was why if he wasn’t available to spend time with her then she’d go to the game. She’d leave the house at a reasonable hour just to be on the safe side so she wouldn’t miss the opening of the game in case Jacob was unavailable.
Her car was in it’s usual spot when she had arrived home so she didn’t have to worry. Plus it’d be available for her later should she need it. Once she was dressed and ready to go, she felt a lot better. She took her car and drove over to her grandparent's house.
She walked into the kitchen about two minutes after Alyssa had. “Yes, I am. You look like you’re ready to go to the game. Where is everyone else? They should be home by now, shouldn’t they?” She asked her cousin as she gave her a warm smile.

During their time at school Emmett luckily had most his classes with his wife Rosalie. The bad thing was that they had to maintain a brother sister image to not raise suspicions. The family always sat together at the same table during lunch. They did not eat anything mainly because they did not eat human food. The only thing they did do was drink animal blood. He also had some classes with Alyssa his adoptive niece for all image purposes. He noticed that she had problems staying awake. That was troubling him and he knew that she would hear about it from Jasper who was her father in a way of speaking. He knew that there was a football game that night after school. Usually he does not go to football games but Alyssa was head Cheerleader and he decided that he would go just to watch her cheer. What kind of family member would he be if he did not support other family members in what they do?
He waited til school was over until he went searching for Alyssa. He figured it would be easy considering she was human but as much as he searched he could not find her. He figured that she was probably at home changing for the game. He looked for his other family. He realized that would take too much time so he drove to the house. Lo and behold he saw that Alyssa's car was parked in her spot. He found that Renesmee was also there. He walked in and said" Alyssa I know you are home. I want to talk to you."

It had been a long day. To say that she felt emotionally drained would be a half-truth, since Jasper made sure she was always alright no matter how frayed her nerves may become. But for the first time in a very long life, Alice didn't feel right. No, that was a lie. Alice felt lost. With the way people had been behaving, with the way she had learned to stifle her visions from the family as a whole… Better that than the constant accusations… She felt stifled in her own home, barely tolerated, tired. It was why she wore her husband's vest needing the comfort object to help center her and not bring Jazz down with all of her baggage. And then, there was responsibility.
Alyssa was not Okay.
And the only person she would listen to, was Jasper.
She was a devoted 'Daddy's Girl', and try as she may to find her own connection with her daughter, that seemed to be a thing of the past. So instead, Alice held on to the memories of the child Lyssa was and let Jasper connect to the teenager she became. Idly spinning her wedding ring with her thumb, Alice did the only thing she could anymore; she kept her face blissfully neutral. Because it wasn't about her, it never was. It was about her family. And she would do anything for them, even if it meant fading away into the background without so much as a whimper or protest.
The ride with Jasper was quiet, something they only feel into a comfortable rhythm with when they were around other people. Instead, Alice reached out for his hand when she knew he would reach for hers and rested her head against the window to watch the dreary world go by. As soon as they were home, Alice slipped out of the car and slowly padded up to the house. Only her love would know how dark and despondent her mood was, to everyone else she would blame the slowed reactions on how dark her eyes had become. She needed to feed, sometime within the next few days. Perhaps it would be enough to lighten her heart.
Running her fore and middle fingertips against her right temple idly, remembering the bite of lightning in her mind, Alice fixed Alyssa with a look. "Are you too tired to cheer tonight?" She didn't want her daughter wearing herself thin, or good forbid collapsing. She knew how Alyssa would react to the question, seeing it dance behind her mind's eye. But maybe she would be surprised and things would be different. Maybe concern wasn't a sin after all. "You were exhausted today, Alyssa Marie."

Figures dancing gracefully Across my memory Things my heart used to know Things it yearns to remember... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Katniss couldn’t believe how school went for her that day. Her teacher yelled at her for being late. She didn’t mean to be late. She had accidentally been late for class. But she was also sort of new to the school as a Freshman. She thought the teacher should be lucky she even showed up for class. Sure it was like the second day in school and yet she was already on the Varsity Cheerleader Team she was quite glad to be on the team. Her father seems to think it was a good idea that she was on the Cheerleading team. Coming through the door wearing a bright pink skirt with blue top she rushed up to the top of the stairs and went to her bedroom and put her bag on her bed.
Taking off her blue flats she walked into the kitchen where she then grabbed an apple. Taking a bite out of it she sat down on the ground against the pole yes she was a bit odd but she didn’t care. She liked sitting on the floor. She is pretty sure no one knew she was even sitting there in the first place. She tends to blend in now and then. She heard her father and then her Aunt Alice. Getting off the floor she rushed over to her father and gave him a hug. “Hey dad school was awesome.” she said with a smile on her face. And then she walked over to Alice and gave her a hug too. “Hey Aunt Alice how’s it going?” she asked her aunt.
She then wondered if her Aunt was okay for a moment. She hadn’t been herself lately. “Aunt Alice are you okay?” she asked her with a small worried look on her face. It would be sad if her Aunt wasn’t feeling quite right. But then again she wasn’t sure if vampires can get sick. But if they did they’d have Grandpa Carlisle near by. He sure was there for her even if it was just the common cold and told her to stay home from school. She didn’t like it but she would stay home from school if her grandpa told her to stay home.
She looked around the room. “Hey Renesseme and Alyssa.” she said with a smile on her face.

Things had changed so much during the course of her life. She had been born to two loving parents. They had split up while she was young and she lived with her mother for most of her life. When she decided to move in with her dad and live with him for a while was when her life changed, for the better. She had met Edward Cullen after she moved to Forks. She instantly fell in love with him. They had been through some rough times but she eventually got him and they ended up getting married, after she had been almost killed several times. Then something amazing happened. They had a baby together. Renesseme was born and Bella was turned into a vampire to save her life. Edward had saved her life, again. No more though as she could take care of her-self now. She couldn’t just fall and get hurt.
After a while though they had to leave Forks as their friends were getting older and they never would. She hated leaving her father but she made sure he got to keep seeing them. Eventually though everyone they knew died and soon they finally made their way back to Forks, Washington. They had gotten some new family members along the way. Alyssa and Katniss, they were humans as well. Bella knew it was hard being with the Cullen’s and being human. Everyone was always worried about them and Bella was to, even though she knew it was not fun having everyone worry about every move you made.
When they moved there they all enrolled in the local high school. It had been strange walking down the halls of the school again knowing that her old friends wouldn’t be there. They all kept to each other not really making friends, except for Katniss and Alyssa. They had gone out for the cheerleading squad and made varsity. They should have fun while they were human, they would only be human once. She knew now it wasn’t something to have lightly and she wasn’t regretting her choice to be with Edward and the Cullen’s. She loved her family she did wish though she had listened to Edward and enjoyed her human years more. She would never admit that to him and he would never know. She was glad he couldn’t read her mind sometimes. It kept surprises in their marriage.
She had some classes with her niece Alyssa. They were both juniors in school. She noticed that Alyssa kept falling asleep in class and she was worried about her. Was she neglecting sleep to study more or what? She would find out when she got home. She knew her parents, Alice and Jasper, would want to make sure she was okay. There was a game tonight and she wondered if Alyssa would be able to cheer tonight. She was the captain of the varsity team after all. Well she would find out if she was okay when she got home.
So she tried her best to concentrate at school but she already knew what they were talking about. So she pretended to listen. Finally the day had ended and she could go home. She rode home with Edward holding his hand as he drove down the road. When they got home they walked to the Cullen’s house. She, Edward, and Nessie had a house to themselves. Hello everyone she said as she went in and sat down on the couch.
