history:
Miss Marianne Woodhouse was born the daughter of an extremely wealthy English gentleman, Mr. Henry Woodhouse, and his wife, Elizabeth. Her life was always filled with joy, as she always had her older siblings, Tom and Kitty, to play with, and never truly wanted for anything, on account of her father's extensive income. Additionally, she was blessed in the fact that her parents remained deeply in love with one another from the time to the marriage to the days of their deaths, so unlike many couples of the Regency era.
Like a proper lady, she was taught the most important of skills by governesses. With her sister, she was instructed how to play the piano and harp, how to draw, how to sing, how to sew, how to speak all of the modern languages - French, Italian, German - and how to dance a waltz. Marianne's favourite of her lessons was the music, as she excelled at this particularly. Additionally, she took joy in performing charity acts with her mother, by way of being the patronesses of a local orphanage and rendering any assistance necessary to their cottagers.
It was during her first season in London that tragedy befell Marianne. At only seventeen years old, she had yet to gain the experience of a lady who had been a part of many London seasons and, thus, was susceptible to the tricks and ploys of a cunning, vampiric gentleman. He asked her for the first two dances, the next, and the next. Marianne was so flattered by his kind and charming words that she had not an idea of his intention to seduce her.
He lured her to a tiny shed behind the assembly hall and, before she could call for help, her garments were removed and his teeth were to her neck. Not only was her virginity taken from her, but also nearly her entire life. The salvation of her life was the approach of a few drunk fellows, causing the vampire to abandon his feeding for fear of her discovery. Marianne escaped with her life, but had no innocence or humanity to speak of.
Luckily for her, Marianne was able to maintain her happy personality through a chance meeting with Carlisle Cullen. Her very essence and nature would have been destroyed if he had not provided her with a means to live without feeding on humans. This lifestyle allows her to look herself in the mirror and not completely hate herself.
Although she was appreciative of Carlisle's wisdom, she was not particularly inclined to go with him to Italy or follow him to university. Marianne preferred to remain in England and watch over her family from afar as they lived out their lives.
About ten years following the death of her last living family member, her sister Kitty, she stumbled across the nearly dead carcass of Nicholas Hayden. It was the Victorian era and the bulk of the population was living in poverty. Marianne provided monetary assistance to those that required it, but so few were willing to take it due to superstition. However, the state of this young gentleman was the most severe of all she had seen.
Unfortunately for her, all attempts Marianne made to revive him and allow him to live out a life as an innocent human were in vain. Not wanting to let him die, she bit him and provided the two with a life of happiness together...following Nicholas' initial reaction.
At first, Nicholas was filled with anger about what she had done. He was of a lower class and extremely superstitious, as a result. However, after Marianne explained the logistics of her own life, and convinced him of her own humanity, in spite of her vampiric body, he came to terms with himself. Although, there are still days where he regrets not dying and being buried in the churchyard with his parents and six younger siblings.
Over the course of a couple years in Marianne's company, Nicholas slowly fell in love with her. Her kind, intelligent, understanding and compassionate nature won his heart. Eventually, the pair courted, and married in a church in Marianne's home county of Devon- that particular clergyman was not very discerning.
Now, the pair live an existence similar to the Cullens. They travel from high school to high school, occasionally switching it up with a college, Marianne earning perfect marks and socializing with people in whichever way she can, while Nicholas broods in the background - his jealousy of their humanity never wanes and results in his ill directed anger toward them. His glares only soften to a small smile at the request of his wife.
Marianne and Nicholas...that is how her story continues to unfold.

rp example:
Cordelia tossed her brown, leather knapback over her right shoulder and her matching laptop bag over her other. She took a stack of seven books from her locker in one hand and a mug, decorated with owls in scarves, of tea in her other. While attempting to maintain the precarious balanced position of her books, Cordelia slammed her locker door shut with her foot and made her way to the cafeteria for lunch.
As she walked, she blew a wisp of brown hair out of her face, regretting her lack of foresight to wear a ponytail and laziness at taking seven books out from the library at once, instead of going back as she finished each. It was unfortunate that she could not seem to control herself when forced to make a choice between Dickens and Darwin.
Upon reaching the entrance, Cordeiia grimaced at the double doors. Neither of her hands were available to open it. She turned and pushed against the door with her side, praying to the higher powers above that she would not drop her things or spill tea on her newly purchased white blouse.
To her dismay, just as she opened the door and was about to step through into the cafeteria, Cordelia's black oxfords slipped on a wet spot right inside the cafeteria's doors, causing her books and tea to fly out of her hands. Worst of all, her mug landed in her lap, spilling tea over the hems of her blouse and pale pink cardigan and skirt.
The somewhat classless words, "Bloody hell!" left Cordelia's lips before she could control herself. Why did things such as this always happen to her?
